What is F.A.B.?
What is F.A.B.? Well the acronym stands for (F)or (A)ll (B)odies. F.A.B. Fitness, LLC was founded May 2022 and was a long time coming. I have always been in love with dance. I was once intimidated by what I imagined fitness to be; running, push-ups, burpees, obstacle courses, all of the things I felt my body couldn't handle and would be judged doing. No matter how confident I was in what I did, when it came to fitness, I always felt judged and watched. Whether it was true or not, it was the reality I lived in. I didn't usually feel comfortable in 'fitness spaces'. Well I have grown to love fitness. I wanted to create a space and place where EVERY body felt included, comfortable, confident, and could get in some mindful movement. I am a firm believer that movement matters and so do you! I decided that I would take what I love and bring it along with me to help others find their fitness space that they could enjoy and continue. Currently F.A.B. is all about dance fitness and we look to grow into more and offering other F.A.B.ulous forms of fitness and movement.
Fitness is a family affair. For us, it means dance breaks throughout the day to some of our favorites while at home. We are a family of 5 and we ALL love music. Dancing is 2nd nature. Even if you think you cannot dance, or if you have mobility issues, you can still move! Movement set to music...that is what dancing it. Awesomeness set to music is what F.A.B. Fitness is! Mr. Fab Fitness leads our intro song at many of our in person classes and will soon be doing more routines.
F.A.B. Fitness is a place where ALL bodies are welcome. We all have different comforts and abilities when it comes to movement and fitness. That doesn't mean that we cannot occupy the same space or even that we cannot workout together. As I love to say before and during class, "I don't know your body, but you do. You know your limitations. Listen to your body. This is YOUR workout! Make it what you want." We all get the same hour during class and we will all get something different from class. The music may keep you motivated but you (your mind, your body) will keep you moving. No matter if you are looking to lose weight, maintain weight, build your endurance, or just including mindful movement in your routine, F.A.B. Fitness Dance Cardio Happy Hours (which are our current workout names) have something for EVERY body!
